Simbiote Applications

Our applications are conceived, developed and tested from the ground up in a clinical environment where functionality drives development.

All of Simbiote's applications were initially conceived and created to fill a need in the Olive Branch family practice clinical environment while using NextGen. Our first attempt to satisfy our requirements, in most cases, was to try and implement the functionality we needed via customized templates. This worked to some degree in the beginning but as our usage of the templates scaled up, the management of template changes became too much of a burden. Unmanageable, in fact.

Over the almost nine years that we have been using NextGen, the NextGen development tools have improved significantly and many of our in-house applications have been retired because of solutions provided by NextGen application upgrades. There are some, however, that have remained beyond the scope of the NextGen improvements. Over the years, as we attended the NextGen UGM, we saw that other users were having many of the same issues we were and decided to make the most useful applications commercially available.

All the applications we offer are in use at Olive Branch Family Medical Center. They all began as in-house solutions and have evolved to supply the additional functionality we needed as their use increased and as new functionality was identified.

Select an application from the menu to the left to find out more about each application/application suite and what it may be able to do for you to enhance and leverage your EMR investment.

So, have a look around at what we have to offer and please let us know if you need additional information or would like to schedule an online demonstration.  Contact us via the contact information on the Contacting Simbiote page and we will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
