ReCES - Automating Clinical Trial Patient Recruitment
At a time when physicians are looking for ways to increase practice revenue, participating in clinical trials can be a great option. However, the labor involved in finding eligible candidates is burdensome which often keeps providers from participating in clinical trials. ReCES automates patient recruitment making it easy to find eligible candidates and increasing the number of providers who want to participate.
"By utilizing ReCES, we have doubled our average per patient study revenue by 30%, increased provider participation ten-fold while avoiding astronomical personnel costs in the department."

1 Identify Patient QualificationReCES scans EHR data utilizing study parameters and alerts providers during the patient visit if the patient qualifies for inclusion in the study in real time. This allows staff to discuss participation with the patient during the visit. This has been shown to increase the chance of enrollment.
2 Protocol AutomationResearch protocols (demographic, diagnosis, medication, lab, procedure) are entered into the Manager Module. Scans based upon this criteria identify patients that qualify for inclusion in a study. A preliminary scan of patient population may also be performed in order to determine potential study participation success.
3 Point of Care AlertsReCES tracks where the patient is in the enrollment process. Once the patient is enrolled, alerts appear on each EHR screen so that clinical staff are aware the patient is enrolled in a study. Provider alerts ensure that the care and medications being prescribed will not deviate from study protocols and disqualify the patient from the study.
